Buckingham Football Club is delighted to announce the successful completion of a new long-term lease agreement with its landlords, Aylesbury Vale Estates, securing the club’s home until 2059.
This landmark agreement represents a key moment in the club’s history. With long-term security now firmly in place, the club is in a significantly stronger position to unlock vital funding opportunities that will support improvements both on and off the pitch. The stability provided by the lease enables confident future planning, investment in facilities, and continued growth as a key part of the local community and for all of the small community groups who use our facilities.
Crucially, this agreement builds on the strong foundations and rich history of the club, shaped over generations by dedicated volunteers whose commitment has helped develop Buckingham FC into the football club it is today.
The journey to reach this milestone has been a detailed and committed process spanning two and a half years. Throughout this time, Aylesbury Vale Estates have worked constructively with the club to achieve a positive outcome, and Buckingham FC would like to place on record its sincere thanks for their cooperation and support in securing this long-term future.
The club also extends its deepest gratitude to Marc Lansdell and Evolve Law, whose exceptional generosity and professionalism proved instrumental. By donating their time and expertise, they represented the club and completed all legal work entirely free of charge. Their contribution has been invaluable in bringing this agreement to fruition without financial burden of our own legal fees.
Adam Bray, Chairman of Buckingham Football Club, said:
"This is a hugely significant moment for our football club. Securing our home until 2059 gives us the stability and confidence to plan properly for the future, invest in our facilities, and continue growing both on and off the pitch. Just as importantly, it means we can continue to support the many community groups who rely on our facilities, ensuring the club remains at the heart of the community for years to come.
I would also like to place on record my sincere thanks to Marc Lansdell and Evolve Law. Their generosity, professionalism, and willingness to support the club by providing their expertise free of charge has been truly exceptional. Quite simply, this achievement would not have been possible without them.”
