The recent awful weather has seen multiple cancellations, so the players and staff will be keen to get out there and put on a performance. All Under 16s are free so come down and show your support for the team. The clubhouse will be open from 12:30 and showing any Live games on the big screens.

It's also the first game under the new management team and Scott Reynolds had this to say.

'It’s great to be back, albeit working under a different banner of the recently formed Buckingham FC. The energy, ambition around the club along with the communication streams within the club have changed tenfold since I was here before.

When the approach came in, it didn’t take long to consider the role and accept the position - there are some great people here and some great friends of mine too. On the pitch, the team hasn’t been in the best of form and that has to change. A period of transition will always involve change, but we have given all of the current players a chance to train and play, whilst starting our recruitment processes to strengthen the first and other teams if needed.

All the players have responded well at training and I was surprised at the level of talent at the club considering our league position. It was disappointing that we had a couple of games postponed due to the weather but it actually gave us time to get to know the squad.

I am really pleased to have been able to assemble a management team so soon. My good friend, and former assistant, Ryan Gurton comes in as head coach. Ryan will be responsible for all training, the coaching of the team and tactical input. Since leaving Buckingham last time he has been working at Aylesbury Utd as an assistant manager and still day to day works in football full time at both Ace Academy and Oxford Regional Talent Centre.

I am also delighted that Joe Cooper accepted my offer to stay at the club and work with us. Joe has been incredible this past week working tirelessly to keep in touch with the players and to introduce them to Ryan and I.

We will still look at add an additional coach. Someone who can help with our goalkeepers in particular but also generally training assistance and indeed recruitment. A physio will be required too for help on match days as a minimum but ideally at training too. If anyone from within the club or externally would like to focus these roles with me, do make yourselves known.

This project is an exciting one, I want the whole club and town to come together to help make it a success. There is no way a club of this size, in a growing town like Buckingham should be struggling at step 6. Let’s all work hard on and off the pitch to take it to where it needs to be and beyond.

What hasn’t changed is the floods! Big thanks to Colin in particular for getting the pitch playable, and hopefully we can repay him with a much needed three points to start this new regime!'
